This is important but needs to be done in a way that is quick and easy. Depending
on resources available to you, you can make and buy the basics to set up the bulletin
boards in your room. As the year progresses, you can change the boards on a rotating
schedule. The beginning of the year should be the only time all boards are done
at once. Some ideas for the first of the year: *Welcome Back-
pictures of children (can be bought) / school materials / subjects *Awesome
Artists-art project pictures of the first day *Content Area-The
Scientific Method / Social Studies-timeline or maps / Math-Steps of Problem Solving,
*Conscientious Students-read directions, are on task, do their
best, listen carefully, ask questions, complete their work *Goal setting
/ inspiration- Keep a 3x5 card file with every caption and a brief
diagram of your bulletin board. As this grows, it will help you to remember ideas
from year to year. Any ideas you see or think of put on cards for future use.
Use posters. Next
